About CEFA Residence

CEFA Residence started with a simple yet ambitious idea: to transform a private home into a warm and welcoming space for travelers. Our journey began when the Saudi government introduced a new regulation, allowing private residences to be used for tourist accommodations. At that time, I was managing a small clothing shop in Batha, and I had an apartment nearby for my employees. However, when COVID-19 struck, our products were delayed, and the shop remained closed for six months. It was a challenging time, but a new opportunity presented itself with the introduction of the Tourist Accommodation Permit for private homes.

I seized this opportunity, deciding to shift my business model by renting out my first apartment as a short-term rental. Initially, it was an experiment for six months to see whether this new venture would succeed. To my surprise, the demand for daily rentals exceeded all expectations, and the business performed far better than I had anticipated. This success encouraged me to expand even further.

The next step was acquiring a building in the heart of Riyadh, a prime location that allowed us to elevate our services. With complete control over management, bookings, and cleaning, we were able to ensure that our guests received the highest level of service. This move became a turning point for CEFA Residence, as our guests not only expressed their satisfaction but also recognized the continual improvements we made.

We started as a small team of two, and today we are a dedicated team of four, all committed to providing exceptional service to our guests. Our story is one of perseverance, adaptability, and growth, and these values are reflected in every aspect of CEFA Residence.

The Story Behind Our Name

The name “CEFA Residence” carries a special significance for us. During our early days, while cleaning our first apartment, we discovered a small kitten hiding under the bed. We decided to take care of him, and we named him \"CEFA,\" a combination of the first two letters of my name (Fahad) and the first two letters of my first employer’s name (Cecille). A few months later, in our new building, we found another kitten, whom we named \"CEFO.\" We believe that these small creatures were sent to us as blessings from Allah, a sign of good fortune that followed. Taking care of them brought us joy and fulfillment, and soon after, our business began to thrive. Naming our residence \"CEFA\" is a tribute to these kittens and the blessings they brought into our lives.
